Plant in full to part shades in neutral to slightly acidic soils. Ideal for naturalising in a woodland setting. Can tolerate damp and dry conditions once established. Space plants about 30â45 cm apart, as they will spread slowly. Leaves appear in Spring and the plant becomes dormant in Summer after fruiting. All parts of the plant are toxic with the exception of the ripe fruits.
