Erythronium are happiest in mild to cool climates. Enjoy dappled shade to full shade, so planting under deciduous trees is a lovely option. Fertilise with blood and bone or general purpose fertiliser at planting and then top-dress in spring. Plant 5cm deep and 10cm apart. Flower in late spring. Corms dry out quickly and should be planted straight away in well drained soil that will be moist.
